Do you know the importance of a cat-friendly veterinary hospital? Here is what the American Association of Feline Practitioners has to say on this subject:
“In the United States, there are millions more owned cats than owned dogs, yet cats visit veterinarians less frequently than dogs. A major reason is that it is very stressful to take cats to the veterinary practice, and often owners believe their cat doesn’t need routine check-ups for wellness and preventive care. The Cat Friendly Practice® (CFP) program, created by expert feline practitioners, provides a solution to this trend and provides an opportunity for veterinary practices to elevate care for cats and reduce the stress during the visit.”
We recognize the importance of elevated cat care, and we are now a certified Cat Friendly Practice! We have a special cat corner in our waiting room to reduce the stress cats often experience when coming to the vet. We also have a cat-only exam room in the quieter area of the clinic, and the exam room has cat-friendly pheromones, music and comfortable exam table covers.
On your next visit, please let us know if we eased some of your cat’s stress!
