Bethany Family Pet Clinic is seeking an enthusiastic, energetic, compassionate individual to join our fast-paced, progressive veterinary clinic as a full- or part-time Veterinary Receptionist. We have a state of the art, eight-doctor practice that provides professional, honest and caring support to all our valued clients. We are located in NW Portland in Bethany Village, a vibrant and bustling community full of great shops, restaurants and wonderful community.

We treat our clients and staff just like family, and always strive to create a great experience in often emotional times. Our receptionists are the first and last point of contact for our clients and are the face of our hospital. The ideal applicant must have compassion for both people and animals, the ability to defuse negative situations and strive to promote a polished image of our hospital. Our team provides exceptional client service, and any new employee must continue this excellence.

Position duties include:

  • Triaging clients, scheduling appointments and managing the reception area
  • Receiving and handling high-volume telephone calls
  • Patient intake and discharge
  • Reviewing medical records and data input
  • Exam room set up and clean up
  • Processing food orders and maintaining the retail area

  • Have a love of people and their pets

The requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must have at least one year of customer service experience
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays
  • Ability to comfortably lift 40lbs
  • Have strong typing skills and a polished telephone etiquette
  • Previous veterinary receptionist experience is preferred
  • Experience with Avimark a big plus!
